First up we have the good people at Handsome Burger coming along for the day. In a national poll last June they were voted makers of the best burger in Ireland! It’s no surprise given the commitment these Galway-based gourmet specialists put into making quality burgers using fresh, locally-sourced meat. Their burgers are made with sticky onions, homemade pickled cucumber, rocket and Handsome Sauce. They’ll also be making use of our own Rascals beer and will be making some Happy Days pale ale-infused boozy onions especially for the occasion!
Next up we have authentic Mexican food courtesy of The Taco Truck. Our neighbours here in Inchicore have been a huge hit on the festival circuit with their unique Tex-Mex style and wide range of meat and vegetarian options. Using local-sourced meat and the freshest vegetables, these guys know how to give your taste buds a treat with real Mexican flavours throughout their fine food: chili beef nachos, beans and rice, and even a beer-battered cod taco – using one of our Rascals beers of course!
We’ll also have some sweet treats on offer thanks our friends at Sweet Churro. Originating from the Iberian peninsula, a churro is a fried dough choux pastry. You won’t find a more mouth-watering and apt snack for a beer & food festival. Sweet Churro’s success is down to their traditional – and top secret we’re told – homemade recipe. Served hot, the churros come with a variety of toppings, with everything from hot chocolate to vanilla to Nutella to maple syrup. It’s not whether you’ll try one, it’s how you’ll be able to stop after one!
And let’s not forget Rascals pizzas! We’ll have the wood-fired pizza going like the clappers all day. Our own pizza chef will be treating visitors to what he does best: making great pizza using renowned Irish produce including Clonakilty black pudding, Cashel blue cheese and Gubbeen farmhouse chorizo. Why not try our monthly pizza special for September? It’s called the Rialto Bianco and features pancetta, Gorgonzola, buffalo mozzarella and crispy sage.
Let’s just say you won’t go hungry at the Happy Days Beer & Food Festival on September 21st. Don’t leave it until the last minute to buy tickets – we have limited capacity – so pick up some right now by clicking here.
