Happy People at Happy Days

Tickets for Happy Days 2022 are on sale here.

Great news! Our Happy Days Beer & Food festival is making return on Saturday April 30th and Sunday May 1st 2022, which is the May bank holiday weekend. There will be even more breweries, even more food trucks and even more top class DJs for you to enjoy! This time it’s going to be a two day event and we can’t wait for you to join us.

Breweries will include Galway Bay, DOT Brew, O Brother, Wicklow Wolf, The White Hag, Ballykilcavan, Black’s of Kinsale, Third Barrel, with guest taps from Yeastie Boys, Neon Raptor, McIvor’s Cider and Bodytonic! Our friends and neighbours Stillgarden Distillery will be slinging out the spirits too. We’ve got food from BeatBox burgers and wings, El Milagro authentic Mexican taquería and Aventura Cafe with coffees, teas and treats, and Cold Boi weird and wonderful ice cream sandwiches.

Check out the pics and a few words about our 2019 festival below, just to whet your appetite for the next one!

We had a right jolly good Saturday at the weekend gone by. It was our first Happy Days Beer & Food festival! Weather? Not too bad, we got lucky. Beer? It flowed all day and we sold out of the special guest beers really quickly. Food? Burgers, tacos, pizzas and sweet churros. Every box ticked! Events? Each one filled out completely. Tunes? Something for everyone.

There were people ready for action when we opened at midday. The early bird catches the worm! We had perfect weather for sitting outside.

The Loft was just as busy with all the tasting events being hosted by Judith and Susan Boyle. Each event was filled out within a couple of hours and it’s easy to see why! Some excellent beers on hand to pair with everything from cheese to chocolate.

The Loft turned out to be a popular spot to chill out for a few hours, enjoy the fine craft beer and take in the surroundings of Rascals brewery.

Entertainment included the legendary Lex Woo and Dublin Bluegrass Collective.

And as for the food… let’s just say nobody went hungry!

So here’s to next year! Already there’s been talk of making it a two-day event. Ah lads. Let us get over this one first!

Thanks to all the Rascals crew for playing a blinder, to all who came to our first festival, and to everyone who gave up their time to help us on the day, in particular Ziz O’Beirne, Shane Dempsey and Cathal’s friend Neil. Also a big thanks to Jess from Soundhire in Ranelagh who’s a man you can depend on when you need problems solved.
