This Is a Beer You’d Want In Your Front Row

Introducing the latest addition to the Rascals family: Offloaded.

It’s a juicy pale ale with mouth-watering citrus flavours underpinned by fresh tropical fruits, coming in at a very sessionable 4.3% ABV.

So what’s the deal with Offloaded? We wanted to bring out an ale to cheer on Irish rugby in 2019. While nobody would argue that 2018 was the greatest year in the history of Irish rugby, with outstanding provincial and national successes, this coming year has the potential to be just as inspiring.

In 2009 Ireland won its first Grand Slam since 1948

It’s only fitting that we produce a beer to toast the glory of 2018 and look forward to 2019. There’s the small matter of the Rugby World Cup next autumn. Nobody’s counting their chickens or anything; progressing through the group games should be the primary focus. You’d have to expect we can overcome Scotland, the toughest opponents in pool A. After that? Take each game as it comes.

We are ranked second in the world, behind New Zealand. On our day we know we can beat the All Blacks, but we’ve faced many disappointments in the Rugby World Cup before. Who could forget the bitter defeat to Argentina in the knockout stages in 2015 or the loss against Wales at the same stage in 2011?

The 2015 Women’s Six Nations Champions

Maybe 2019 will be our year; it could be our best opportunity ever. So, no pressure lads! Either way let’s enjoy the spectacle and cheer on the teams with a refreshing glass of Offloaded. Available in all good independent off licences and supermarkets, as well as a select number of great bars, from the week of January 28th.

We are screening Ireland’s Six Nations games at Rascals HQ, so make sure you reserve a table with the best view! Book now to avoid disappointment; all the important dates are below.

By the way, it’s not the first Irish rugby themed beer we’ve brewed. A few years ago we released this very popular pale ale:
