You Place An Order, We’ll Make The Donation

For every webshop order in August we’re donating €1 to ICHH.

Inner City Helping Homeless was founded in November 2013 as a result of the increased number of people sleeping rough around Dublin City.

Members of the local community in the North Inner City came together to do a soup run around the city and on the first night over 40 volunteers turned up wanting to help.

Now the ICHH outreach volunteers are on the streets 7 nights a week, 365 days a year offering practical supports to people that are sleeping rough in doorways, parks, squats and places off the beaten track. Their teams leave the office at 11pm and are out on the streets until the early hours of the morning. They have 2 walking teams on the northside of the city and 2 on the southside of the city. They are supported by 2 mobile outreach units that assist people sleeping outside the city centre. The teams are stocked up with food, drinks, sleeping bags, toiletry packs, clothes and also offer accommodation supports and most importantly a non-judgemental compassionate ear.

The ICHH case management team work to advocate on behalf of people that are homeless helping them navigate through the quagmire of homelessness. One of the biggest issues people have when they become homeless is the lack of education and guidance on what they’re entitled to.  The case management team offer a one stop shop to support people through homelessness including advocating on their behalf to secure accommodation, providing practical supports like clothes and food.

Services provided by ICCH include 7 night a week outreach, Case Management and Advocacy, Mental Health with support partners Babs (Be Aware, Be Safe), Food hampers of non-perishable food for families and individuals that are homeless or living in food poverty, Clothes Orders, Hygiene Packs, Back to School Supports and Christmas Supports.

Brian McLoughlin is Head of Communications & Fundraising with ICCH: “We are very grateful to the team in Rascals for their kind support of our frontline homeless charity. As ICHH is not a government funded charity we are reliant on the support of companies and the public to keep our service operational 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. The team in Rascals always pay it forwarded and we are thankful for their support once again.”
