Warm yourself up with this cracking autumnal ale we’ve called The Phoenix Dark. This beer is a subtly smoked dark ale, with hints of nutty chocolate. The grain bill includes oak smoked wheat and beech smoked malt to give a characteristic but gentle smokiness in the finish. Chocolate wheat provides that little touch of dark cocoa and sweetness. Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops ensure a balanced bitterness. The Phoenix Dark has been cold fermented for a nobler taste and fuller body. It’s a real fireside beer for the evenings drawing in and kicking up leaves on autumnal walks in the park.
